This makes a lot of sense, adding this to our list of improvements for handling links though can't promise timelines just yet. Thanks Federico E!
In the meantime, you can remove a link via the command bar (either clicking the button in the top right of the doc, or using
cmd+k
(mac) or ctrl+k
(windows)).You can then either click through the options, or use up/down keys and the enter key, or you can just type what you want to filter options, e.g.
Remove
and it'll bring up the remove link option. Let me know if any questions!F

Fred Rivett Oh, that was hiding in there! Couldn't find it anywhere! Thanks for letting me know.

Federico E: No worries at all, there's quite a lot in there now so it's a good spot to get used to used to using if you like keyboard shortcuts!

Fred Rivett Awesome! Speaking of keyboard shortcuts, it would be nice to have keyboard shortcuts that work when selecting stuff in the Checks menu. (The one I miss the most is one to launch the Checks you've already selected, like Command+Enter perhaps).

Hey! So sorry about the delay here — we normally would like to be much faster at resolving issues than this, but you can edit the link by highlighting the word and click the hyperlink button above so that you can edit it. Please refer to the video below. Hope this helps!

Thanks for getting back to me. I can see what you mean, but it's really lame, I have to say. The only way it works for me is if I click in the text near the link and then use arrow keys to move the cursor onto the link. That's super annoying.

Totally agree David S, this is one I actually added some detail to today in terms of improvements we need to make here, sorry that this kinda sucks right now and appreciate you keeping us to a high standard! Please do continue to point out the things that suck, hopefully over time they'll be less!
