David M. C Did this ever get resolved? I'm dealing with a similar issue. My doc just hangs as soon as I open it on any device and I'm unable to do anything with it or Ask Lex.

It did Joseph! The issue in David's case was an old doc that due to the new Rewind History feature that stores a lot of backups, caused issues with docs worked on in that initial rollout period.
The Rewind History feature meant we stored a
lot
more data for each doc, which originally ballooned the doc you're working on, causing it to be slugging and crash, but we did a big rework to separate out the historic snapshots and the active doc to stop that from happening.Older docs may have significantly more issues as a result.
The simplest solution is to duplicate your doc as it'll create afresh and should hopefully resolve the issue.
