Nathan B I didn't think that was possible here! But it is. Here's how it looks like on Safari, where it works like a charm. But my go-to browser is Chrome. Any ideas as to what extension may be causing this? It started happening recently, and I haven't installed any new extensions lately.

Federico E: Glad we narrowed it down! I just tried in Chrome (normally I use Arc) and it worked for me so it's almost definitely an extension.

It's possible that we made a change that caused one of your extensions to mess this up, but also extensions can ship updates so it's perhaps equally likely that an extension made a change that caused this. Hard to say!

Nathan B Oh, boy! I'll try to get my detective hat on then. Otherwise, I'll probably have to move my Lex activity to Arc or Safari. Thanks for your help with this.

PS Quick update. I had four extensions. I disabled them all. The same problem kept happening. I removed one of them. The problem persisted. I'm just left with three extensions now (Chrome Audio Capture, Google Docs Offline, and Freedom). Is it possible it's because of one of them?

What happens if you try Lex in incognito mode in Chrome Federico?

Fred Rivett Good call, Fred. I tried this, and in Chrome's incognito mode the formatting menu does come up.

I wonder if somehow there's something in local storage in your browser that's causing the issue. If you want I can take a quick look into this, just need you to email me at fred@lex.page a screenshot of your local storage in the application tab of the dev tools in the version (non-incognito mode) Federico.
