Constantly when I'm typing, the Lex editor lags and doesn't show the text I'm typing. I have to wait for it to catch up. It's really beginning to impact my writing.

Thanks so much for the detailed explanation Fred. I know that frustration well. In the meantime, I'm going to copy into a new document, that should be easy enough.

Thanks Taylor, apologies again for the frustration, continuing to chip away at this and hopefully have improvements soon, but that's the best advice in the meantime. Thanks for your understanding!

Really sorry about this Taylor! We’re very aware of the issues and it’s been all I’ve been working on the past week or two to get things under control.
The long story short is enabling the new Rewind History feature meant storing a
lot
more data and that’s caused performance issues. It’s complex to do so in an efficient way but we’re working hard on this as our top priority attacking it from multiple angles, so there should be noticeable progress soon.
In the meantime the main issue is for bigger older docs, so if you start seeing issues it’s worth copying the content into a new doc which should be more performant whilst we get things under control.
If there’s any specific docs that you’re having issues with feel free to drop us an email with the link to hello@lex.page.
Thanks for the heads up and your patience whilst we get this sorted!
