I would love to have a bookmark function. Not only the ability to place multiple bookmarks, but to take me to the last bookmark in the document when I open it. This is particularly important and useful for larger works such as manuscripts. It’s not only a find-my-place function but also relates to organization within the manuscript.
Thanks

Like this suggestion Lloyd. We've got a big feature in the works, and as part of that I think we'll end up storing your location and then restoring you to that point when you open the doc next.
Outside of that I'm intrigued what use cases you'd have for placing bookmarks, so we can better understand what solutions would fit best.
Appreciate the feedback!

My use case for multiple bookmarks is with long manuscripts, where I might want to break the document into sections or rearrange them. I’m thinking of something similar to Scrivener, which allows you to divide the manuscript into parts that can be reorganized, thereby restructuring the entire document. Additionally, during a read-through of a longer draft, I could use bookmarks to divide it into acts or chapters or to identify key plot points. Right now I write chapter by chapter, however if I use the AI to create a draft based on an extensive outline and context, then having the option of multiple bookmarks becomes very useful. The other side of the draft is bookmarking where the manuscript or even a lengthy chapter, needs more work. Comments might work for that. In all, the idea is a mechanism to easily and quickly get around large works.

Gotcha that's helpful to know, thanks Lloyd. As mentioned on the moving outlines post (https://every-inc.canny.io/lex/p/moving-outline-sections) that seems like it would go a long way to helping your workflow. Will keep in mind the idea of jumping to different points in the doc, but can't make any promises as what that feature might look like is still quite blurry so will see if we discover more instances where it makes sense and whether a elegant solution comes to mind.
